Pass Plus The Pass Plus course is a DSA initiative in conjunction with most insurance companies, that aims to reduce the number of accidents involving novice drivers. The course is intended to provide post-test instruction to improve a novice driver's skills, and introduce them to aspects of driving they may not have covered before their test (notably night driving and of course Motorway driving). The course consists of 6 hours of tuition and is instructor assessed, so it involves no further test - although we do expect to see an improvement in the standard of the pupil's driving. In return for taking the course the pupil can expect to receive a significant discount on their motor insurance - usually considerably more than the cost of the course - and as the discount usually takes the form of a year's no claims discount if the pupil manages to not make a claim they will continue to save money until they reach their full no claims discount. The course focuses on teaching 'Positive Driving' and encouraging a responsible attitude towards driving and road safety, throughout the modules of the course. The six course modules are: Town/city driving, Country roads and lanes, Night driving, Dual carriageways, Bad weather driving, Motorway driving. |
